2025 PFL Europe Bantamweight Semifinal: Jan Cieplowski vs. Dean Garnett
In his SmartCage debut, Cieplowski wasted no time putting on an impressive performance and punching his ticket to the semifinals. Taking on Julien Lopez, Cieplowski displayed incredible power, scoring three knockdowns in the first round and closing the show with a clean combination of punches that put Lopez out.
Garnett had a much closer fight in his opening round matchup taking on Tuomas Gronvall in a very technical matchup. The pivotal moment of the match was when Garnett pulled a guillotine choke in the second frame and while Gronvall appeared to be going out multiple times and near tapping, he was able to survive and take the fight the distance.

2025 PFL Europe Bantamweight Semifinal: Gustavo Oliveira vs. Mahio Campanella
Not to be outdone by the other competitors, Oliveira orchestrated one of the most impressive knockouts of the year against Anas Azizoun. A spinning back elbow would close the show in just under 120 seconds. An easy contender for Knockout of the Year, Oliveira would send a message to the rest of the bracket in his post-fight interview saying, “I’m sorry” when asked if he had a message for future competition.
Campanella, similar to Garnett, also had a technical fight in his decision victory over Matiss Zaharovs. Using his grappling throughout most of the bout, Campanella was able to weather a late surge from Zaharovs and pulled off a unanimous decision. It was Campanella’s second victory with PFL Europe and his fifth consecutive win overall.
